I really love this OVA. Since Obari always tries to insert shows he worked in into the portables SRW (Orgun, Iczer) I have faith for this to appear someday. And a SRC would be really cool

I feel like an SoC would be better, just because of the amount of detail they'd need to put in. And even if it would be inaccurate, I'd want these bad boys to tower over most of my other gokin.
Too bad it will never happen because only Toei and Gainax robots ever get toys. (Getter robo Armageddon being the sole exception)

Haven't watched the show in years but IIRC the crazy detailing was mostly due to the ridiculous amount of shading everywhere on Hagane and Doki.
The garage kits I've seen of Hagane that are mostly based on the lineart don't really look THAT complex anymore in comparison.

personally I think Cybernetics Guardian is the better obscure /m/ OVA that Obari worked on, but I think both would be great in a SRW game(have an idea regarding that if anyone is interested)

This show was a huge letdown, mainly because I had seen .gifs of the robots emerging and thought it would be the fight of all fights, in the end it was kind of disappointing and I wasn't impressed with the sakuga. It was fun watching with a friend though, my expectations were probably too high.

I like the choices. Personally I'd swap Armageddon for SvN but that's just because it's my favorite Getter OVA.

part of the reason for Armageddon(besides ensuring that Shin Getter would have a good move set) is that this started off inspired by an idea /m/ had ages ago about a bad end for Alpha 3 with the Shin Getter Robo, Gunbuster, Gaogaigar, and Raideen getting trapped in another dimension, the prologue game ends similarly with a combined version of Armageddon, Gunbuster, and GGG FINAL's ending resulting in the Shin Getter Robo, Gunbuster, and all of 3G except Mamoru getting trapped in another dimension, the main game is then set about 20-30 years later showing the consequences of those heroes' sacrifice to save the Earth(also technically the Main game would be split into 3-4 parts, but all the series in it would show up before the end of part one, always thought it'd be interesting to have a multi part SRW game have all the series set in stone when it's begun so the world building can be more coherent)
