Yeah, I had lots of fun. Lots of emotions too.
The cast was good, some characters had good development (for example Kai who is a jerk and a coward at the beginning but becomes less self-centered, more caring and courageous). Also, it wasn't too manicheist, Zeon was depicted as guys you could relate to (for the most part ) but just happen to be at war with you. I also enjoyed the space politics and the way it depicted the impact of war on civilians. And also the mobile suits with all those sweet old-school designs. But it wasn't flawless either. Sometime I found the scenario a bit confusing, especially in the last 6 episodes with all the maneuvers and the newtype stuff, and some stock footage was reused too often. Sorry for the rant, tl;dr I had lots of fun, I feel relieved and sad at the same time, and it's a good 9/10 for me.
