Actually, the whole Getter saga. Of course, that might be hard because I don't know if Ishikawa ever actually learned how to draw properly, so imitating his style in anime form might not work.

Sorry, that's not the case. It's pretty obvious when looking at Ishikawa's stuff (at least, the works that aren't meant to imitate Nagai's style) that in drawing, he doesn't do the things they teach you to do in school. Namely, his art doesn't reflect any sort of professional method. He just sort of draws lines and it works. He knows what people look like and how to draw them, but he doesn't follow the processes people usually take. I'm kind of having a hard time describing it.
When you're taught to draw, you're typically told to start first with anatomical shapes and directional orientation. Then you figure things out from there, while also paying attention to skeletal and muscular anatomy. Obviously exaggeration is present in most anime and manga (and art in general), but it's important to know what you're exaggerating. When I look at Nagai's comics, it's easy to think "Oh, I can see the basic shapes here," sorta like in pic related in art books for kids. With Ishikawa, it looks like may sketch out the idea for the scene, but ultimately just draws things the way somebody who doesn't know how to draw would. It works, and it's really expressive, but it's definitely uneducated.
The problem with staying true to this in an anime would be keeping both consistent character models for wageslave animators, as well as keeping the random scene-by-scene distortion and fluctuation that only a talented artist who doesn't know how to draw could do. Essentially, you'd have to have Ishikawa himself, or at the very least a really big fan doing art direction, storyboards, and even keyframing in action scenes. Sure, you could have something like Armaggeddon or New where the character models are based on the characters in the manga, but that wouldn't be as impressive.

Probably a bad thing. I didn't like Ishikawa's own style at first, but it really grew on me. I think he's an incredibly talented artist who's really good when it comes to detail and expressive characters, but I wonder what an art school background would have done for him.
