The movie of Crusher Joe just has the Dirty Pair in it as a movie at a drive-in, they're not really in the story other than "Dirty Pair is a fictional thing".
The "in the Crusher Joe novels Joe's mother is a Dirty Pair" seems to be an old mostly debunked thing judging by a few seconds of half-assed googling at least.
