I wish people would stop circlejerking the "proper" translation of 絶唱(zesshou). This is one of the parts of Symphogear that is intentionally ambiguous in the source material, just like the whole マム/ma'am/mom thing. The ambiguity is necessarily lost in translation and it's something we have to live with as a foreign language audience.
絶唱 - 唱 just means song, but 絶 is a kanji that has different meanings depending on how you want to look at it - and the way that the zesshous are presented in season 1 to a native speaker is intended to evoke the more dramatic interpretation that it is the final desperation move - even the keyword explains it as a last resort, and was only updated to explain that the users can survive the encounter after the viewers find out that Tsubasa has completely recovered from the backfire.

At that point we as the audience (thanks to the explanation from Dr. Ver as well as the keyword explaining what happened to Kanade) know that they realistically won't die or suffer extreme effects, but all Hibiki knew at that point were:
- Kanade died after using her superb song
- Kanade was on LiNKER
So she put two and two together and assumed the FIS duo would also die. I can't check right now, but I remember this misinterpretation by Hibiki of "You'll die if you use that while on LiNKER!" is actually part of the dialogue in the show.

The idea that I tried to get across was that the characters used them far more liberally, and didn't have nearly the same degree of reluctance or surprise that another Symphogear user would try to sing a superb song. This is a huge departure from the O_O faces being made every time the phrase was even mentioned in S1.

Kanade was the only person to zesshou before S1 and she disintegrated, no shit they were scared of it. And then Tsubasa nearly killed herself with it too so that didn't help. After Chris did it and dropped out of fucking low-orbit and was totally fine after it was pretty clear that it wasn't quite as deadly as they all thought.
I wonder if /sgg/ is the only place to find a living western Symphogear fanbase. I haven't seen any love for this series elsewhere.

Is it possible to make the game rules non-specific so it's up to the GM whether they want to run using hexs or squares? Cause Hexs are significantly better.
Also if it's a problem with not having hex grids, there is a way around it. If you find a way to shrink the system a bit (as in every hex is 10' instead of 5' or just shrinking the amount of space a person moves per turn) you could just include a base hex page for GMs to print out. Main reason you can't do that now is because there's only so many hexs you can fit on a 8 by 11 page, and most characters can cross that in one turn currently.
