That was me who made that thread, not OP btw. I had also realized some time after posting that thread that it wasn't a poll saying 'whatever wins gets BD' but was more like 'if we maybe decide to give BD again it's probably for whats on this poll'.

IMO the sharp shading style lends itself to high res, similar to non-shitty vectors.

The point was that even with a remaster, the second half of Betterman would look considerably weaker than the first one.
That episode in India was literally "look at the dark blue screen and imagine monsters fighting".
