>fuck with your mind
>the enemies you're fighting will turn you into a crystal on prolonged contact
>the machine will inevitably kill you in the exact same way if piloted long enough
>after the upgrade to get you unique powers they also fuck with your bodily functions
The EVAs and the Valvrave (since only Hito will kill you, or did Tekka do the same?) don't even come close to how awful those machines are for pilots.
