Rokka was slow. The narrative was structured in such a way that it had to be. Tension is a real factor in the series, and would not have worked had Rokka's anime whipped by it's plotlines.
That said, the slow burning plot doesn't really jive that well with an audience that expects speed. And it didn't help that other anime that season was doing it better (Hello Prison School!). All in all, a good anime that was sent to die!

If the show is like the toy, the Driver simply can't scan medals that aren't in the designated slot.I don't have the OOO Driver so I don't know if it says "error" like some other Drivers or if it just doesn't read them, but I do know that the medals are designed in a way that makes it so that they need to be in their correct slot.

They're really niche. The dungeons are repetitive and there isn't really exploration, but the combat isn't bad and its character and meme driven. You can tell the creators really love anime and games.
Personally, I love them but I can see how it's not for everyone.
