Actually, I like it, flaws and all. Some fap fuel, some action, childhood friend doesn't win, etc. Then again, I just watch it for simple enjoyment, compared to some other series.

Honestly, I enjoy watching bad copy E7 knock off, it reminds me of all the early 2000 era mecha that were churning out that weren't particularly good but were all fun in their own way. It feels like it belongs in SRW K.
