I'm a little more excited about watching Nexus again than seeing him in a teamup but it's neat homaged Nexus' style with episode titles.

Nexus is good, not amazing but it does a lot of interesting things and it's way different in tone to a lot of other Ultra stuff. X is being simulcast by Crunchy
Really wish Nexus focused more on the Night Raiders. At least Shiori got a 40 minute special devoted to her. The other guy is pretty much insignificant. He's so unimportant that I can't even remember his name.

Episode 20 is the Nexus team-up so the last 2 episodes will be about the final boss and that's it. I wish X was longer. The upcoming movie doesn't count because it'll be mainly about cameos. Literally no one is watching the show so X can't carry his own movie.

Nexus is worth watching. It does a lot of interesting things, especially for this franchise. I personally am not a fan but I'd definitely recommend checking it out just because it's such a different take on Ultra and there's a lot it tries to do with its story and themes.

I haven't watch Seven yet but in Ace, people was killed left and right brutally. For example, a monster disguised as a kid killed his grandparents and the whole village then burned it down. Ultraman series can be that dark.

Somehow that episode feels really amazing. It was really some last minutes that they revealed who the monster was but you could feel all the sadness and sorry for the monster. The way Nihei portrayed an angry Ide and the last line were also an unforgettable scene for me.

Nexus is pretty fucking amazing, but not like any other Ultraman show. If you go in expecting a regular Ultraman show, only a bit darker, you'll be disappointed because it barely follows the format at all.
Now, if you go in expecting Lovecraftian monsters, conspiracies and nightmare fuel, you're going to love it. I know I do.

I started to think Komon, or at least the actor not planned to appear until last minute, they already shot the episode about Tachibana becoming Nexus and then Komon's actor end up can appear.
Remaking the whole episode is hard so they just editing some scenes and added Tachibana's husband which might be not Komon, sorta like Konomi's actress as different character some episodes ago.
Anyway, it's great to see a different kind of guest Ultraman episode, instead of using the same plot about Ultraman crossing dimension again.
And I just remembered Rinko's (Komon's girlfriend) actress was in Ultraman Saga as the boy's mom, they just never end up together, aren't they...

I don't think it was last minute at all. Like you said unless they keep doing the dimension hopping thing they couldn't really get Komon for it. So they probably just decided to make him Tachibana's husband because it would be a nice cameo for the fans of Nexus.

I love X (the series) but through out the show why X (the Ultra) is shown so... weak and incapable on its own, numerous if not most of the time? Heck, he's basically the reason Daichi's parents went missing.
I can understand if they want to show that now human is more capable than ever with their technology to support the Ultra without just being a decoy for most part, but man I feel pity for X. The crossover episodes with other Ultra even makes X looks worse, as much as I love seeing the vets back again.

Seems to be details on the cast of the film. From what I can tell it looks lke Mamoru Miyano voices Zero again and Hikaru shows up as well. Takami Yoshimoto is in it, probably playing Rena from Tiga. Also Michael Tomioka will be in it who's been in Dyna previously; he's also been in sentai and garo. There's also a child actor that, from what I've seen, isn't terrible. And some female

And X is most probably getting dragged down by Daichi, the episode with Sho proved that Daichi affected X when they are united. Daichi is also shit at hand-to-hand fighting as shown before, so part of X's inability to fight well may be due to Daichi.
