This mech just makes me want to watch Bioman. I'll have to start it as soon as I'm done Nexus.
Are the mech fights in Bioman any good? I'll be sorely dissapointed if I see this mech in boring finisher and done mech fights

Bioman uses Giant Robots of the Week, so the mecha battles tend to be longer and more creative than other series since they can't use the suits for a ground battle.
There's quite a bit of mech footage shot outside as well (granted, the outside stuff is monstly in the quarry). And Bio Robo doesn't even get a standard finisher until the second half of the series. For the first half, it has some that get used a few times each, and others it just pulls out of its ass once and don't get used again.
Toei also made a large crane-held hand prop. It let them do things like have shots of people standing on Bio Robo's hand, or have Bio Robo crush Mecha Clones without having to do a composite shot or use forced perspective. (The giant hand also got used in Zyuranger episodes 1 and 2 when Dora Titan grabs Geki)
