The difference being that the Kshatriya's binders have a secondary, or tertiary function as as shields. They store funnels, and have thrusters while Shield Gundam's shields are just shields apparently. I mean you could make a case of them being thrown like how Amuro used his shield occasionally.

Actually, it lost because it used those funnels in combat. The Kshatriya is loaded with weapons, not to mention has an I-Field. Even without funnels, it has 12 mega particle cannons, and its full loadout would have included 6 beam gatling guns (remember the one Unicorn found? Kshatriya was supposed to have 6). The only reason it lost was because Marida was a retard and used funnels against it.

the kshatriya's ifield generators are also in the wings. those wings do lots of things as mentioned. they store funnels. they contain thrusters. the contain arms that can hold beam sabers or other weapons. the have ifield generators. lastly, they would work as shields, just because of the value of all the other functions.

anyway, i still call bullshit on that fight. the kshatriya has an ifield generator in each wing. she also didn't deploy all of her funnels. with the amount of weaponry she had, she could have easily beaten the unicorn. that gundam should never have been able to approach from the front.
