These release pictures are amazing.
This show does seem to be getting better each week. The story is still pretty thin but there is enough there now to be interesting. The fights were also pretty good this episode, seems like they have got better with the wire flying
The characters are probably the weakest part though, they are just very flat. I did like that they were able to figure shit out like Makoto's identity and that a monolith being made instead of it just being something so obvious to the viewer. Same with Takeru just saying he know's Spectre's identity instead of hiding it for no good reason

This was one of my favorite moments in the fight. Takeru doesn't go for a kick clash he's going to lose again, he doesn't pussy out and let Specter beat him up some more, he just calmly switches Eyecons and takes advantage of Specter's own finisher to give him cover for getting the fuck out. I hope he keeps this kind of competence even when he's not winning up.

I thought of superior Ganma, but the thing is while they have Eyecons that have a functioning gimmick they don't have a fancy belt or other device Bandai could sell to kids.
I feel like superior Ganma will demonstrate the gimmick can be done with Ganma Eyecons, but somebody will harness that into a new transformation device if not use one of the existing devices. So Ganma Eyecons could be akin to Energy Lockseeds which may come with a Ganma Rider or Ganma Riders. With that I can see at most six by the end of show. More than your usual Rider show, but not so much that it needs to be announced pre airing that the show will have that many.
With everything we know out side of mid form, final form, and secondary upgrade being laid out on the show's table and store's shelves before we reach the show's midway point, I doubt we won't be getting more. Especially given how easy it seems for just about any living person to fall into the trap of being a ghost Rider, which just seems to be to die while having a vacant Eyecon nearby.
Personally, I would like to see a Rider who has absolutely no connection with the overarching situation or characters at hand get involved and start wailing on just about anyone because the idea of staying dead after 99 days absolutely mortifies them.

That's the issue though. We know a lot of stuff before it happens due to the toy information, and there's nothing about a 4th Rider. So, it's very unlikely we'll see one popping up anytime soon.
We still don't have the third quarter, and there's also the final quarter, where they usually introduce Riders outside of the toyline, but generally the 3rd quarter doesn't introduce any Riders, and the 4th one only introduces Riders that aren't part of the main toyline (like Gold Drive or Jam). So, I think that what you're saying only will happen if we get a bunch of superior Ganma - exactly because they wouldn't have toys.

The White Wizard Driver was in Wizard's Q3, Chase was part of Drive's Q3, taking up the secondary upgrade slot. Of course it could just be reusing current gimmicks such as another Sound Eyecon or Necrom's toy having more Rider sounds.

I think it will go down because of how ridiculously cheap the show is. The base suit for ghost Riders is incredibly simple and all it needs it newly painted markings and a new helmet to say "BOOM! New Rider". And the Ghost Eyecons are cheap as well. Only two molds (Normal and Ganma). Just print a sticker. Topped with how easy it is to be a Rider here, I doubt the writers won't take an opportunity to kill somebody else.
Superior Ganma alone are not enough to sell toys because they are non-Rider villains without an object that can use their stuff and appeal to kids. To do otherwise would be like having the Greed with Core Medals that can't or won't be used in the OOO Driver.
So that is why I believe a Rider or more will come with their gimmick revolving around Ganma Eyecons so they can pimp them to children with their flashing lights and annoying sounds to hold up sales after the first 2 quarters. I aslo think so because Da Vinci, Rafaello, and Michelangelo are Ganma eyecons outside the 15 main ones, which makes me think the other outliers (sans exclusive stuff like Santa) are Ganma Eyecons. I wouldn't be surprised if there ends up being 15 of those.

Both these complains also apply to Gaim if not moreso. We may have called the main villain in Wizard but in Gaim we called the twist that Kouta had killed his friend, that Mai was the Woman of the Beginning, that there were Inves that were more inttelligent (Overlords), and that Sagara was the main villain.

That's a bold claim. What has Yoko done except follow whatever man gave her orders and die? Mayu may have failed to kill Medusa and had little screentime but at least she had goals of her own. Yoko had no goals or aspirations, did all of nothing, and might as well have never been there in he first place.
So again. Explain how Gaim is better than Wizard when Gaim has more flaws.Wizard may have failed at the MOTW formula and Haruto may have been shit but it's still better than Gaim in pretty much every other aspect.

In the /tg/ scale of things I'd have him as a Chaotic Neutral; sure he wanted Kouta to use the powers of Helheim to change earth as he saw fit but was okay with Kouta's decision to start a new world elsewhere. If Sagara was truly evil, he would've fought Kouta after he revealed he was making a new world.

Yes but they didn't drag them out for FOURTY FUCKING EPISODES. It did take a couple episodes for these reveals but the Yuya reveal was to help show that Kouta was not as pure and noble as he thought while the Micchy thing was to show his thick headedness and trusting of Micchy. Why do you think even after Micchy literally ran him through and tried to kill him that he still asked Takatora to forgive Micchy and to help him along?

I never recall Kouta whining when Sagara tempted him with the Kiwami Key. He was contemplating how would they be able to stop the invasion of the Overlords considering Demushuu wiped the floor with the strongest riders. My memory's a little foggy on Kachidoki but if I remember right, Kouta's begins doubting himself on whether he can truly be a hero after it was revealed what he did to Yuya. Sagara gives him Kachidoki because he finally steels his resolve to break the old rules and establish new ones. As for Jinba, I think Sagara straight up gives it to him because Wild Card.

That's the whole drop the ball at the end. She was established as a credible threat early on under Ryoma and when he decides to Loony Tunes his way out of Zawame following the Overlords, she defects on to help the beat riders. She's independent for a while, then they fucked up.

Well, the first one was more 10 episodes to reveal that the 1st episode monster really was Yuuya and then 10+ episodes before Kouta learns about it.
The Micchy thing was about 10 episodes if you start counting from the point where he actually wanted to kill Kouta (after Kachidoki's debut).

She did fight too, it's just that she jobbed really badly against every single Overlord that she faced. Now, everyone jobbed against Demushu since it was building up to Gaim's debut, but even one of the minor Overlords knocked her out in a quick scene. She did help a bit in the invasion of Yggdrazil, but only against grunts.

The intent is for Sagara to not be evil, but rather a neutral observer. The idea is that he's not responsible for what Helheim does, it's the person who wins the prize who decides what's done with it. In practice, though, Sagara has far too much agency and shows far too much favoritism for this to work out. He's portrayed as too capable of communicating with humans on their level for the audience to accept the premise that he's beyond human understanding. The rest of Gaim is often excellent, but the ending leaves a lot to be desired if you don't fully accept Sagara at his word.

Reminder that by eight episodes in Fourze had two forms with fifteen Switches and Drive had two forms, ten Shift Cars and an eleventh he never used, and two accessory weapons. Gaim had seven Riders with eleven Lockseeds between them. For contrast Ghost has eight Eyecons. Ghost is actually being pretty tame with the toys.

I'm going to admit right now that I misremembered things. I thought Takatora being betrayed happened in the same episode Mai slapped Mitchy and that said episode happened in the early 20s but it turns out those are two separate episodes near the end of the 20s so you're right about the pacing there. It just felt longer while watching it.

I don't remember that which is honestly even worse than her doing nothing. While Mayu failed at her goal of defeating Medusa at least I can remember her trying to.

Ghost doesn't even have eight Eyecons. He has five. The current split as of episode 8 is 5/4/5 between Ghost, Specter/Spectre, and Saionji respectively with one unclaimed one. Though I guess Ghost could have gotten three more in episode 9 somehow.

Also, the shows are mostly self-contained so pick any series that looks cool to you and just have fun. The only ones people would advise you against as introductions to Kamen Rider shows would be Wizard (really boring) and Kiva. Have fun!

I feel the need to screencap this as a reminder for all the people whining about "toy hell". Wizard was "toy hell". At least here the Eyecons have a central role in the plot that's being built up to. Besides, we're only on episode 10 of a 47+ episode show. Most Rider series wait until the 20s and 30s to reveal plot details, and Ghost looks to be getting to the point way sooner than that.
