Hey guys, just recently started playing this for the first time. First Front Mission I've ever played in fact and I'm having a blast. Any tips or things I should know? I'm not too far I think, I just got Yun.

Yeah. Honestly Alisa's route is more for people used to FM.
As a second thing, if you didn't know, you don't need to kill the pilot to capture a unit. An easy thing to do is to if they get ejected, throw one of your pilots into their suit. The AI doesn't know how to take control of your units, only the ones they started with.

I'm playing through it as well. Pretty solid game so far, it's also way longer than I thought it'd be. I wasn't even aware there were multiple routes either.

ROFUP/Tackle I/Shield Bash was basically all I did the whole game, no need for more expensive stuff.
Salvo can be a godly skill, or a terrible skill.
I kinda wish they still used Amano for the character designs. I thought his FM1 characters were pretty cool looking.
But Akihiro Yamada is a cool artist, too. Worked on RahXephon.

I never did like the 4 unit limitation in FM3.
I love FM1 but I can't finish FM3 for whatever reason. I always just lose interest and stop.

If you eject a pilot out, be sure to only approach the wanzer from the opposite end, then just eject into that wanzer.
There is a chance of an ejected pilot walking over to take your wanzer if you parked to the side and then ejected into their wanzer.
Anything further than the 8 tiles that circle the pilots are pretty much non-existent.
Also, aim for the Hoshun Mk113.

I had gotten pretty far in this game, but then my game keeps freezing at a particular point.
I'd switch my save to another emulator, BUT for some reason I can't seem to make a new memory card for ePSXe
