This idea that I need to defend something I like is the kind of mentality that wedges /m/ further and further apart every day.

Why don't you stop projecting and just admit you're a troll? I'm not even talking about just Wing. There's plenty of other shows that have aired within the past few years that were mercilessly shitposted against for even the slightest flaw, let alone those that were outrageously bad. Things like GBF had /v/ memes and "lulz Build Babies" near every thread before the show even BEGAN, let alone shows like Cross Ange that were all but blitzed off the board.
It really doesn't even matter the quality of the show, now or ever - there's always at least one person to spew bile at it. Someone takes an interest they should just take the plunge and make up their own minds, rather than listening to flamebaits sniping at each other.
