I don't really like the villain having a Gundam, it was neat back in it's day but now everyone Gundam's popping out of their anus, if 0079 was made today, bright would get on a special custom rx-79 and beat up char
I think it really depends on the situation. Did the enemy produce Gundams? Neat, give the bad guy a Gundam. Did the enemy decide to try and copy Gundams after seeing how awesome they were? Great, give him one in three to ten episodes! War is all about escalation. When one side can't keep up with another, it loses. Frankly I'm surprised there haven't been MORE enemy Gundams, or at least similar knock-offs.

if you mean its dumb that every character and their mother has a gundam I'd agree but thats marketing. Gundams do better than other things. Look at G-reco, AGE, Victory and so on their villains groups had unique units and the "average" anime fan doesn't care/like them.

All I can think of is in Seed and Destiny, and I guess 00 but since Reborns was made by the same people you could technically say he stole it by usurping power.
