What does /m/ think of organic mechas?
>>13541157
I loved the overcoat thing. Mechs wearing mech clothing is the best thing in King Gainer.
>>13541172
I loved that the entry was accessed by an actual zip. King Gainer had some rad designs, both in Overmen and in the regular mech department.
>>13541185
Gainer pulling another sword out of King Gainer's small ass pocket was hilarious
Organic mechs are great.
Love King Gainer the most.
Brain powerd is also pretty good
Liger is pretty great as well
>>13541157
I plan to watch King gainer soon, from what I've seen the designs really interest me, so much so that I've bought both art books even though I've not even seen the show
What other organic looking mecha are there?
>>13541302EVA
>>13541309
>Implying evas are biomechs
>>13541309
To be 100% fair though, Eva has some fucking radical designs. This is from a LN.Yeah, it's a wolf Eva.
>>13541381
It gross, but it fits, unlike tiger EVA. TigEVA 02 showed me that Rebuild is a runaway train that jumped the tracks.
>>13541381
Yeah especially jet alone
>>13541157
What the fuck is organic about King Gainer?
>>13541453
Never watched King Gainer, but isn't it part of the organic group while there is other less advanced machines?
>>13541453
I don't know the exact details but the cockpit is definitely inside the torso of a 20 ft tall giant.
>>13541453
It has muscles, blood, and even tendons. In fact, there's a short scene where a giant organic Overman arm was kept fresh while hooked up to some kinda liquid through catheters. It's undeniably organic.
>>13541453
>>13541483
It's movement is allowed by artificial muscle fiber strands, it's got meat on dem bones anon. It's even designed to look organic in that it's got hair, clothes (including holsters) and an expressive face along with a very rounded body. I'm pretty sure you see more muscles and stuff when it's being unzipped as pilots get in and out too.
>>13541157
I love 'em.
>>13541528
RIP Brunhilde
Do the AHSMBs count?
>>13541157
I like very few
>>13541157
Are Aura machines organic mechas?
If so, I love them
>>13541157
love 'em in all thewrongways
>>13542267
I seem to remember them mentioning early on that some of the armoring and internals were ripped off of and out of living creatures. Miiiiight be misremembering that though.
>>13541381
>wolf Eva.
>>13541381
Please tell me it's piloted by a wolf.
>>13543918
wrong franchise
>>13543918
Sorry bro, it's piloted by 7-year old Mari. Here's what the wikia says, though.>She is an artificial human and an Evangelion pilot created by the US branch of NERV. The fact that she has cat fangs, cat ears and cat tail comes from the animal genes used in her creation (this also seems to be a parody of the Mari from the Rebuild continuity who is often shown with a cat-like face). This also makes her say that she is with a group of creatures that are merged together. As Rei Six loves animals and is at the same age as her, the two are good friends.
>>13544293
What
>>13541573
>>13541157
Brain and grand cher are pretty moe.Nelly Brain is best girl.
Isn't Escaflowne an organic mecha in one incarnation?
>>13549146
In the movie it is.And it's gorgeous.
>>13548950
ANIMA is...
It's, uh...
It's a thing.
Does this have anything to do with Nietzsche's concept of the 'Overman', or is it unrelated?More importantly is this show good?
>>13550773
>More importantly is this show good?
It's Tomino in a good mood.
>>13550268
That sounds really fucking stupid
>>13549819
The two fights in the Escaflowne movie are fantastic and the unit looks amazing there too. It's piloting system might be edgy as fuck but I love it regardless, just because it's animated so well.
>>13541453
Did you ever watch the show man
>>13550813
Well, yeah, it's ANIMA related. Really fucking stupid is par for the course.
>>13541381
>>13544293
ANIMA is insane. Anime adaptation when?
>>13550813
And we haven't even gotten to the part with the giant Eva Asuka yet.
>>13541157
Hey do biomechanical mecha count
I really liked the design of the aliens from Independence Day.
