They are kind of a pain in the ass to find since there isn't really a single tag for them. Some cases there isn't even an SRW tag (スパロボ) so it's a matter of stumbling into them when searching for a series, or finding them in unrelated tags.

A couple I only really want to cameo others go all in. The theme is combined arms against an intergalactic threat. Big focus on infantry, powered armor, snipers etc clearing the way for mechs/tanks/aircraft to do the job they need.

Well it's only really Evangelion listed for absolutely gigantic mechs which I threw in cause Eva is heavily dependent on power cables and equipment provided by Nerv (least till it gets the S2 engine). If those were to be attacked by ground targets you could bring the Eva offline during an angel attack.
MSG, early Macross, VOTOMS, Dougram, MGS, MMX, Metroid and the rest are all not very large or too overpowered in regards to defenses. You could probably heavily damage a bunch of the smaller mechs (and even take out a couple) with a rocket launcher, grenade launcher, anti tank rifle, mortars, etc.
I wanted to also have tanks, helicopters, apcs, fighter jets, small mechs and shit for your infantry to commandeer mid mission.

No. It's just autism at its finest if I'm honest. I have all the sprites I need for something I'm working on except RX-78-2. Worse than that, I have the mobile SRW knock off game on my phone, and have the RX-78-2 in it, so I know there is a fucking sprite for it, but I can't find find it, or get it out of the app files on my phone. They are also unusably bad. Like, complete, total shit bad. IIRC Akaranger's finisher has half the power of Rider 1's second worst move. Yellow can literally only punch things at range 1. Pink can punch things and has 2 ammo on her bow which is still weaker than Akaranger's best attack.

It's because of the game's strange decision to make it so that characters of a biological origin gain stats from leveling up, while mechanical characters, metal heroes, and cyborgs you can just upgrade like in SRW.
And while you may think that means just grind, the reality is the metal characters are just plain better the whole game.
