I just finished a video I did on Dragon's Heaven. Sorry I missed the topic. Anyway, here is it.

Feel free to dump Kobayashi designs, & any cool junkyard/organic mechs you like. I'll dump whatever Dragon's Heaven stuff I can find.

Oh wow, is that just some fan are or did he really work on some official IDEON project at some point? I know he's done tons of stuff on Yamato.
There was anon in the previous thread who said he's going to buy a DVD if he won't forget. I wonder.
>>13526264
I hope that's true. Maybe we can finally have someone subtitle the 12 minutes of credits too.
>>13526261
I want to say fan art but all I saved was the image, and that was quite some time ago.
>>13526261
>>13526319
It's probably his work. I already saw Kobayashi's photo with the same lighting.
>>13526184
Saved.
I've never seen such a cool rendition of Ideon.
I think this was from the artbook.
>>13526175
Nice video, as always. That enemy robot is cool as fuck, main robot is no slouch either.
>>13527960
Making a model kit for any of these robots would probably be a nightmare. I don't know how kobayashi does it. They never did any statues or premade models for this that people could buy that I know of.

There are shittons of images that are dumped and get dumped on this facebook fan page for Kobayashi. I'm too lazy to favourite everything and repost it but search "Art of Makoto Kobayashi" on facebook.

>Art of Makoto Kobayashi
Found it. Does anyone still have the manga that one anon scanned a few years back. Would love to take a look at that one day.
>>13528410
Hey, I started that thread! It lead to somebody posting scans of the whole manga and helped me buy a copy of my own off Mandarake. Good times.
Here's a mega of the DH manga they posted: mega.nz/#!ihkxmTzS!t2Ud5vMjmeqtp10MLk0BeZnKsRKpewDFpbwY6vJ8C80

I was hoping for scans, but this is still fantastic. Thank you so much.

...You know how Ideon was an alien device buried for aeons?
This design captures the "alien device" and "buried for aeons" elements PERFECTLY. It looks like it was made in the image of its alien creators.
I love that the red Ideon color is rust and dirt. My only problem with it is that if this was for an Ideon series or whatever the rest would come off pretty quick and we'd be left with something less "Ideon".
I also miss the blank screen face. The white lines racing across it as the Ide gauge filled up were based.
Still, I'm dying to see how Kobayashi would interpret the attacks of this beast. I want to see it fire off an Ideon sword.
And I must see what the Ideon Gun looks like.
how many mecha series are out there that feature more organic looking mecha? i know there's macross and mospeada and dragon's hvn. what else is there?
Jakioh is cool

Is that custom or can I buy that somewhere?
God, this manga was beautiful. I'm really tempted t just buy a copy on eBay.
>>13532714
Its a resin kit. sometimes e2046.com has them in stock
>>13533865
DO you know how he colored these? With colored ink?
I really like that color palette

>$80 for a VHS tape from the fucking 80s
Jesus christ. What is that in future money, $120? No wonder they could fund this, people were paying out the ass for it.

How nature says "Do Not Touch"
If the Ide Force has a incarnation, THIS is what it would be.
>>13533635
>You now realize that on some other plane or reality, Deckard is a robot hunting humans.
>>13542674
>Deckard is a robot
Thanks for spoiling it, jerkface
>>13543863
>DRAGON'S HEVAEN
I like it.
If it's organic, is it really mechanical?
>>13553034
We're all just skeleton mecha piloted by our brains anon.
>>13553034
Yes. They are analogous to each other.
CPU=Brain
Muscles=Actuator
Chassis=Skeleton
Wiring=Nerves
Sensors=Senses
