I didn't care for its Max episodes. But this episode had me in tears. And when Pigmon was revealed to be okay I had a big goofy grin on my face. God, I love Ultraman X.
As much as I liked this episode, sometimes it makes me sad that Pigmon is always the scapegoat for the peaceful monsters. It usually works well but it's always so sad.

Why didn't people of SSSP question Hayata's unbelievable survive rate? In Ep. 8, he got ton of rocks dropped on him (Pigmon got some and died). Then in the next episode, the helicopter exploded with him on it and all the members don't even ask how he can be alive.

I wish I had the resources to cite this but I'm pretty sure she was an Ultra. I don't think there's any canonical evidence of Ultras and humans being able to reproduce, and probably for good reason.

I wonder if the advances on special effects have a direct relationship with the fall of tokusatsu. Hollywood wasn't THAT far from tokusatsu on the 60s and 70s, especially because sci-fi/fantasy were mainly B-movies, but Star Wars changed everything. Lucas, together with his buttbuddy Steven Spielberg, created the concept of blockbusters and revolutionized special effects. It's the second Ultra I've seen after Ultraman X and I'm fairly dissapointed. Granted, X might have set the bar too high, but I don't know if the quality of X is the norm or not for Ultra. Guess I'll just watch Nexus instead since he's due to make an appearance in X.

You know how X has themes of trying to tame some monsters and find peaceful solutions at times? Cosmos is that pretty much all of the time. If you're looking solely for cool fights and monsters destroying cities you might want to look elsewhere, but if you're willing to accept Cosmos' more pacifist approach to things then stick with it. The pacifist nature of Cosmos does not bother me at all, in fact that is exactly why I chose Cosmos to watch. It just failed to interest me in any of the characters and the plots so far have been meh. Only decent one, in my opinion, was the one with the alien toy. The only thing I like about Cosmos is how they blow up the monsters. I just think it's amazing. So I'm guessing Cosmos stays more of the same, a shame. I might keep up with the scrub of it, if it doesn't entirely bore me by 15 or so episodes.

Mebius is eternally recommended. Ginga S has some pretty sweet action if you're digging the fights in X, though it's probably best watched after Ginga and I cannot in good conscience recommend watching Ginga so soon.

The CGI in Ghost, at least for the giant monsters, not counting the particle effects, is still the same as it was for Fourze. Because Rendering time doesn't really change with the times.
As long as they are doing a yearly show the CGI is gonna stay the same quality for years at a time. Possibly decades if they think it doesn't matter.
