I was already gonna play as a male, find C cups adequate, and have no issue with the one underage character being the only one delewdified. Lyn is the only character confirmed to be "censored" according to Gamexplain. Other than her, all costumes from the Japanese version are in, and the only other change is the removal of the bust slider. Nearly every other game I've ever played had static boob size. The ability to change them is a flower made of icing on top of the icing already on the cake. This removal has zero consequence to me. You asked why people are still supporting XCX, this is why I am. Censorship is something you can never really do anything about. Be it in game or in anime. The only thing you can kinda do to avoid it is just download fan translations of the uncensored version, for games that's almost non-existent these days though so you've either got to learn Japanese (or whatever the language of the original uncensored version was) or you just try to forget that you're watching/playing a hacked up inferior product and try to not let you bother you.
If you decide not to buy it then it just dies and they say their censorship wasn't drastic enough.
If you decide to buy it anyway then they take the strong sales as proof that their censorship was justified.

The removal of the breast slider is minor, but something that should be called out. It's game content, as minor as it is, and shouldn't be tampered with. Removing it for no purpose- why? It's harmless to have around. Removing it does nothing but cause bad press for your already-niche title on a system that has only /recently/ surpassed the Dreamcast in sales. Nintendo can't really afford to piss off the people actually /buying/ Wii U games, even in a niche game such as Xenoblade X.
The removal of the series and drastic alteration of the script is baffling and an example of absolutely awful translation and localization practices.
Why change Dolls to Skells? I get the reference- the word Skell is old slang for a homeless person or a tramp (though I doubt that's why they changed the name). But the name Doll actually had plot relevance to the narrative. It's an unneeded change.
Why add a fucking Leeroy Jenkins joke? It's 2015. The joke has been worn out years upon years ago. There's no reason to add it. Adding pop culture jokes, memes especially, is stupid. Doing so automatically dates your translation to a very specific time period.
Why remove the series' trademark themes? Part of why the Xeno series has a cult following is from being 2deep4u. That's what makes it stand out from other JRPGs.
The most we can hope for is that they didn't absolutely fuck characterization of the cast like they did in that godawful FEA translation they did. And even that's probably asking for too much.
This is seriously a case of a bunch of translators suddenly thinking they know better than the actual developers and designers of the game. Whenever this happens in video games, we get fucking awful translations/localizations. A great example is how every other Working Designs release made radical amounts of glitches and bugs to 'improve' aspects of the game, as well as their habit of making pointless pop culture references to 'color' the script.

Awesome. I was bummed because I was posting my response but couldn't get it out before the thread autosaged. What I was gonna say was that you weren't wrong. Clearly it is externally very evocative of the O. All I was describing was how I wanted to paint and use my Amdusias. For whatever reason, you interpreted my doing so as an augument (which was not the case) that it looked more like Deathscythe than The O, which clearly is not the case. If you want to paint yours like the O, please do so. I've just never been big on Z, and I've watched it beginning to end, twice.
