While I'm a bit unsure about these designs (that Rosy, though), I still hope the show could be good. That said...
>MIQ
Fuck yeah.
>>13501590
It doesn't really feel like a J9 serie.
>>13501614
> GinaGina Tina - the Galactic Leopardess
I kind of wish she was the Galactic Cougar, but take what you can. That name though, christ.
so is this basically J9 SKL or something
>>13501590
These character designs are still bad.
Not as bad as what they once were, but still pretty fucking bad.
I'm digging the robot
>MIO
neat
How many of the original shows are subbed anyway?
>>13501590
Gypsy looks 10 times better than when they first showed her design at least.
Anyone have a better res for this and the original character designs?
Yeah they certainly don't feel like new people, same roles the same way as Baxinger and Sasuraiger did but only reimagined Bryger. And these still obviously aren't drawn by anyone who could or will animate them.
>>13501652
>>13501648
Approximately one and a half. No clue on when or if Crinn will resume Braiger and Sasuraiger, either, although I'm sure he won't stay idle for long with this new show in the pipeline. Where there's a will, there's a way, even when subninjas are around.
>>13501676
The better question is whatever happened to Crinn.
Also does anyone know when Jinraiger takes place?
>>13501680
>whatever happened to Crinn
Only Starseeker could possibly know the answer, at this stage.
>>13501676
>no clue on when or if Crinn will finish Braiger and Sasuraiger
You mean Baxinger.
>>13501720
Right, my bad. Somehow confounded the two.
>ED by MIQ
Wow didn't even know she was still singing this is impressive
Really like what what I'm seeing thus far.
>>13501659
I'm really liking this design
>>13501659
That's going to tough to animate. Looks cool though.
>>13501813
Yeah. It looks badass as hell.
>Rosy
SOLD.
>>13501825
>SOLD
Same.
The opening's okay, it's no Sasuraiger theme but I like it.
ED is pretty good.
>>13501819
CGI anon
>>13501590
When is this shit airing.
>GinaGina Tina
>>13501590
Who is in charge of naming these poor people.
>>13501819
Won't be tough at all when they roll out the 3DCG man
>>13501995
Clearly, Yu Yamamoto learned from Tomino's teachings.
>>13501998
>>13501971
Sad but true.
Granted there aren't many of them, but it seems that CGI doesn't work as well for super robot shows. Still I look forward to seeing how they handle it.
>>13502189
And why do you say that?
>>13502223
Not that anon, but while there's a few Real shows that used CG well, the only Super show I can think of with good CG is Comet Lucifer and the show itself is just ok
>>13502316
Aquarium Evol was good for me
>>13502189
With any luck, maybe they'll just save the CGI for the vehicules, just like Actas did with Shin Jeeg.
>>13502316
I don't remember many recent supers using CG for the robots myself
>>13502345
Well there's all three Aquarion shows
And OGIN did it for the SRX but only sometimes.
>>13501700
He reappeared with 4 episodes for me to do my pass on. I do my pass, send them back for the finishing touches. His computer then got rendered unusable by something, likely overheating going by his description, and his backup is a toaster. Last contact I had with him was a month ago and he's not replying to my e-mails.
That's all I know right now.
>>13502345
What "recent" supers are there even. Or is your recent within 10 years.
>>13502396
Sadly the latter. One of the examples I was thinking of Reideen.
>>13501832
Anyone have the original concept we had of her before?
All I remember was that it looked terrible
>>13502396
Everything that isn't Gundam has been super robot lately.
>>13504215
Not really, off the top of my head there was only Aquarion and, uh, Gyrozetter I guess? Pacific Rim if we don't only count Japan. Gargantia maybe since Chamber is miles ahead of everything on Earth even if he's basically the equivalent of a GM to the humans out in space.
>>13504215
>Gundam
>not super
senpai...
>>13502354
It used SRX very little, though.
>>13502359
...Man, but at least he's alive.
>>13504184
Reideen made everything look alien, but that usually works fine because... well, everything is fucking alien. The main problem comes with those weird armybot things that look... I dunno, they look kind of off in that CG way. And the way they animated rocks in CG, oh gods, that was fucking terrible, I thought when the asteroid base showed up that "oh, it's ok, it's a fake asteroid clearly, it looks bad on purpose" but then you see the moon in CG and it looks the same and you realize that they're TRYING to make it look real...
>>13501659
Not really sold on the final design.
I kinda liked the unpolished early one with its dragon head and funky "80s toy"-proportions more.
>>13501659
Do we know the mecha designer for this thing?
>>13505840
>Up-and-coming artist Kanhō Murase is in charge of character and mecha designs for the new project.
>>13505864
>Up-and-coming
That for sure, since I can't seem to find anything on him. Probably because I'm not searching for his name in nip, admittedly.
>>13506108
The whole thing is basically a college project, so most of the staff are going to be unknowns.
>Yamamoto also stated that one of the goals of the project is to revive the "original anime" in an age where it's more common to base anime off of manga, which is bad for anime scriptwriters. For this reason, he has started a "Practice Anime School" to train several new talents for the next generation of anime scriptwriters, using Ginga Jinpū Jinraiger as the teaching material.
>>13505124
I really really miss the dragon head
>>13506274
I remember reading that before. Can definitely agree with him.
>>13501590
>j9 series
So when the hell is /m/ gonna translate the rest of this?
>>13510231
The guy who did the first one is MIA
>>13506274
>it's more common to base anime off of manga
More like LNs now
>>13510231
>>13510794
More or less. He's hovering in an odd position between "active" and "held hostage by subninjas".
>>13511141
Subninjas did nothing wrong
