Nagai fags aren't the same as Tomino fags. His shows weren't licensed back then, so it was easier to put his anime on a pedestal. When Tomino directed new shit like Wings of Rean and G Reco, plenty of anime fans who have have never seen a Tomino work before criticized it heavily, and thus this led to Tomino fags to sperg out like crazy since they're actually insecure.
