Thunderbolt is aimed squarely at existing UC fans who are usually older. The Thunderbolt Zaku kits are the only ones with shoulder spikes that are actually pointy due to the demographic they're aimed at.

0080 is explicitly set in the same one as 0079, they mention White Base, and it has very few contradictions with 0079, mostly only that there's new zeon suits when they were running low on them already. The more that piled on, the more it stretched and strained. 08th outright contradicts deployment dates, and the video game/MSV stories just completely riddle 0079 with Gundam type suits, but they don't even fit the whole "animated is official" rules anyhow.
Thunderbolt is outright noncanon. It doesn't follow the same timeline at all.

Origin is aimed at the older crowd, Thunderbolt is likely the same.
IBO is aimed at the mainstream crowd

Why would you think they plan to? Some of them were almost certainly destroyed during the Calamity War they were built for. Most of them is more likely, given how rare knowledge of them appears to be. A handful showing up seems quite probable, especially given at least twice now people have speculated that they're not even particularly special machines and it's mostly Mikazuki's skill and the Alaya-Vijnana system that makes it a formidable opponent, not an inherent specialness of the Gundam frame.

It seems likely they would never use all 72, but if there was room for a sequel or manga they would get into that.
I don't think any Gundam AU had ever had 74 MS designs. And UC only manages to have that quantity because they have so many rehashed models and multiple TV series.

It's a Columbus variant that's akin to an aircraft carrier rather than your average sitting duck transporter. From the gross size, it's about 4 times larger than your normal Columbus and one of its 4 container areas can hold at least 30 mobile suits. (Yes, a ball isn't a mobile suit, but size wise, it's about the same.)
