HA was a fun ride. I liked how the main three leads had enough of a twist on their archetypes to make them cool:

I really enjoyed that once Iolaus got to know Age that he immediately turned in to a total bro and didn't stay a grudging rival who can never quite admit it for the show like his archetype would have suggested. The princess also felt like Lacus done right, in that she preached for peace, but only to a point and wasn't hypocritical about combat. She was also quite limited in her power and actually made some good use of politics at times in relation to her brothers.
Also, the Organs, which I believe is the name of the mook mechs, were fucking fantastic looking and I wish we'd gotten to see more of them during the show.

The Nodos are hosts to Heroic Tribe members. The Heroic Tribe are basically a race of Kungfu Godzillas who were like FUCK WE ARE GOING TO SPACE and the Golden Tribe contained them within the framework of the contract and within the Nodos because the Ultrafamily doesn't exist in their universe. They were a pretty central part of their plan to uplift more races to whatever standards they figured were good enough for their project of... deep space colonization or whatever. The Heroic Tribe had issues comparable to the Bronze Tribe's, so they got slapped with shit contracts.

There might be more than a touch of exaggeration there on my part. I recalled him melting entire planets in one of his fights with Belcross but it's been ages since I saw the show so I went looking for it by skimming episodes on Youtube and couldn't find it. His poison can definitely melt pretty much anything and definitely destroys at least large parts of a planet and dissolves asteroids and shit and he can take some of the dissolved material and add to his mass to make himself a hydra like thing - but I may just have been imagining him spreading it around far enough to melt systems.
I watched most of the last 6 or so episodes after trying to find the point where he punches black holes and man I really need to sit down and re-watch this show properly. I love the music and the powers, the mechs and the ships, and the epic feel I guess is the only way to describe it - that Grecian plot of stuff on a grand scale with a lot of gods and monsters battling basically. The narration at the start describing how the Golden Tribe set everything up makes me smile every time I hear a variation of it too. It lends really well to the feel of an epic that the show plays off.

Crest of the Stars? Outlaw Star and Vandread both cover multiple star systems but less ships. There's also Tytania, but that kinda sucks. Possibly L-Gaim, but that's limited to a single star system and is on planets most of the time.
Doubt that list is of much help but it's all I could think of. Space opera isn't a big genre.
