Not really a girlfriend; just the typical Frau Bo henpecking childhood friend dynamic where Fa clearly wanted things to progress but Kamille was too busy absorbed in his own world/problems to notice or care. It follows the ending of A New Translation and not the Zeta series. Tomino knew that he'd sell more movie tickets to the third film if he told everyone he'd changed the ending. Kamille doesn't get mindfucked in ANT like he does in Zeta TV, it's a happier ending. Unfortunately for the rest of us, that means that Black_Knight constantly argues with everyone that ZZ and everything that references it (Unicorn, for example) are all non-canon because he likes ANT better than Zeta TV.
