I found the series boring, but the characterisation was spot on
Then I saw Be Invoked and holy shit it blew me away, top tier stuff

Needed better pacing and animation but apart from that, it was pretty damn cool
I like how the toy-looking robot looks more and more ominous as the show progresses towards the end.

Honestly, I liked how it twisted the old "mecha powered by ancient, legendary power" trope and turned it on its head.

Be Invoked is just the best anime film I've ever seen, I think. Tomino was really good at his peak.
The show is pretty good, it's not like incredible or anything but I found it pretty interesting and entertaining, My biggest problem was the amount of filler included.
The mech designs I really like since they have that War of the worlds look to them, though I find ideon itself to be one of the great super robots of it's time.
Be invoked is fantastic,It's tomino doing his best and it really shows.

At first I thought Ideon's design looked weird as hell, then it began to grow on me, what I liked in the show is that they actually gave it a personality of sorts and actually made it feel intimidating by displaying whatever powers could do. Whenever the ID did that was a really cool and scary moment.
Series is decent, Be Invoked is great.
