I have a berkut and a black widow, so I can't say much about a takemikazuchi but, the weakest part of these models is the "skirt" and where the jump units connecting arm to said skirt.

If by compression you mean that of youtube's, definitely no.I used the onboard soundcard to record the thing, but the laptop I used for it was new at the time (recorded on Audacity from Stereo Mix with the game playing, voices and all other sounds muted except for the BGM). The regular Meiya doesn't have it, either on soundtrack or the game TL'd by Ammy. The extended version is unreleased officially and was ripped from the all-ages game's audio.

The thing's a bit difficult to explain without going into some musical analysis like intervals and the like, but basically in that section of Meiya the piece is "anchored" on the F# minor key, and the chord progression goes D - C#-sus - G then ends on F# minor in the regular version with the violins holding onto a high F# note all the while.

What happens in ~extended~ (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xbzHGbqRq9c#t=7m52s) is that the same sequence goes D - C#-sus with added G tone by timpani - G - F# minor (with the violins still doing their thing on the high F#). That timpani with the G not just forms a tone cluster with the F# and G# notes from the C#-sus (which may or may not be bad, depending on where you stand in modern Western classical music), but its volume overpowers the other two tones and changes the chord pattern at that particular moment badly in my opinion.
Anyway most players might not even hear it at that point in the game as Takeru was going "Nngggggggggh... FUUUUUCK!" at that time.

Same here.I watched a youtube video of the all-ages version of that sequence before the TL patch got leaked, and I didn't find that scene dragging primarily due to that track. When later I got to the matching sequence in Ammy's release I found that the regular Meiya version before minute 3:16 was looping using fade-out and fade-in and the scene felt more dragging. No Takeru letting out his scream in sync with the music building to 3:16 was a letdown too.

If you've only built Bandai plamo, then I'm sorry, you've been spoiled. Briefly:
- Koto plastic is sharper and more brittle than Bandai plastic (especially since Bandai introduced its soft PS compound that its been using since the HG Build Strike), so expect more stressed pieces
- Koto lacks Bandai's patented polymer injection tech so it can't produce plates that protrude as far from the plane of the plate
- Because of the above, you have lots of tiny (well molded) pieces, as well as lots of left over runners
As for the Take itself, in 1/144 it's not too bad. Articulation's not fantastic, and a number of important joints are PS-on-PS only (most importantly its ankles and front skirt), so they're the most likely to wear out. I'd suggest using the PS part for its torso ball and T-joint (it has an ABS option) simply because the abdomen is so thin.
The most fragile parts of the kit is the front skirts. Later kits in the 1/144 line are better about it, but the Take is particularly bad in this regard.
You will want to learn to mask and paint the kit; because of the way the joints on the arms/legs are constructed, you cannot seam weld the kits and paint before assembling.
tl;dr: it doesn't look great without some work, but with patience and effort you can make it yours.

Most of the posts are from them. Not saying it's utterly bad, but clearly I don't think you could have a serious discussion on some series details there. I prefer to stay here and post only from time to time there.

I mean, I originally wanted something that was a lot closer to the original, but then I remembered that CG and realized that that's what they were going for, so now I'm conflicted, since any changes to it would make it not faithful to the original CG which is supposed to look comically cute. Yeah, I agree. I'm fine with it replicating the CG, especially considering how impractical trying to replicate the original would be in terms of cost and design, I guess I was just remembering the CG incorrectly and thought it had a less cutesy paw pattern.
I just hope they put the extra KS money towards improving the main games, translating new content, or something along the lines of that which would benefit everyone including those who didn't back. The amount of merchandise we're getting is more than enough. I'd give up half of my merchandise if it meant the money would be put towards Kouki expanding the trilogy to be what he originally wanted, but the cynical part of me says a large part of why it got this much was because of the merchandise, so I guess it wouldn't have mattered.
