I feel like BX has tons of special lines. I was fully expecting, say, Yuu or Youta to have lines for fighting the Zonuda... and then Banagher had one too (about the possibility of saving Mikoto, because it ain't Banana without kanonsei or soredemo somewhere), and then pretty much everyone except Hy and Boss. Wasn't quite expecting that.

Also my money's on it being able to transform again like Genion can transform into GAI. The shape of the inside of each wing is fitted to the backs of the legs, etc. Probably Genion SOL or something like that. Same way Librasta will probably get an upgrade from Trial to Final, Gunleon will probably stick Cielo in as a third pilot, and Virgola will probably get a Glory Stars combo attack.

The changes start around the time of the Berlin arc. Dearka gets added to the mix and Shinn opts to ask his opinion of Kira, because Shinn feels that Athrun gives a heavily biased opinion. Dearka says Kira's alright, but tells Shinn to form his own opinion. This leads to Shinn to yelling to Kira that he wants to save Stella right before Kira attacks, and Kira says "Oh, okay then". Stella lives (and joins later on if Shinn reduced her HP; otherwise, she lives but doesn't join), and Shinn no longer has a revengeanceboner.
This leads to Operation Angel Down, where Kira and company explain what Kira is (Waltfeld straight up says Kira's a Super Coordinator, surprising a few people) and try to naturally talk things out. Cue Iczer-2 crashing the party and Kira takes a shot for Shinn. This ultimately ends with Talia assisting in faking the Archangel's destruction to help them get out of dodge (Rey secretly reveals all this to Gilbert, though).
Then comes the second invasion of ORB. Things go as they do in the show until Kira nearly gets wrecked by the original villains' newest toy. Shinn saves Kira here (to make up for Operation Angel Down), and they part ways on friendly terms. Then comes the Destiny Plan. Everyone rejects the plan, including Talia, causing Rey to get butthurt and flee. You get him back (if you wish to do so), and stop Durandal. This is all topped off by a nearly dead Durandal crashing Messiah into Neos Gold's face (but she lives because of Iczer Plot Bullshit).

This is only mentioned in dialogue because it would require them to make sprites for the Destiny units that weren't in K and they were far too lazy for that, but the Orb fleet battle was crashed by the OG villains, and Kira and co jumped in fighting them. Kira only acted as a shadowly helper to Zaft who wouldn't talk to them, but he didn't fire at them either, so Heine wasn't killed, and he didn't destroy Savior which was instead destroyed by the OG villians.
This effectively kills any reason for Shinn and Kira to have problems with each other since Shinn wasn't slaugthering Orb guys the hundreds and Kira didn't get anyone from Zaft killed.
On the other hand it also shows why this didn't happen in Destiny proper. With the Shinn vs Kira conflict aborted, the plot becomes nothing but Zaft smashing generic EA guys from then until the final battle where Durandal finally turns on everyone. That would have probably made Destiny even more boring that it was.

Just before the Memento Mori II shot the Space Elevator, the Federation sent Smirnov up there to secretly attempt to negotiate. They then immediately sent out those fucking drone things, so it's pretty clear they wanted him to fail.
Andrei sees him coming out of the elevator with the rebel leader, goes "HURRDURR YOU'RE CLEARLY A REBEL" and after they break all the glass panels and save everyone Andrei kills him.

You know how everyone loved how fatherly Sergei was towards Soma? Yeah, he wasn't like that towards his own son. He was a shitty dad, mostly after Andrei's mom died and Sergei blamed himself. The result was that he became distant and withdrawn at the time Andrei emotionally needed him most, and Andrei never really forgave him for that. There's a fair argument to be made that Sergei is so warm towards Soma precisely because he's trying to make up for his failings with Andrei, but at the same time he's unwilling to actually reach out and fix his relationship with his son. We don't see that Andrei ever met Soma that I recall, but imagine if he did? Seeing your father treat some random girl better than he ever treated you? You'd be absolutely livid. Even if he'd just heard of it, it would put Andrei even further in a mindset to always think the worst of his father.
And then on top of that, Soma fucked off to join Celestial Being, becoming a terrorist. If he then sees him in a situation where with incomplete information it looks like Sergei could be a terrorist as well, well, Andrei's going to believe what it's easy for him to believe.
It's not until much later with the Trans-Am Burst, when Soma and Andrei connect and see Sergei as the other saw him, that both are given the full picture of the kind of person Sergei was. Once they see that, Andrei realizes he'd done wrong killing his father, and Soma realizes she'd done wrong giving herself over to vengeance.
