I've never seen it talked about. or mentioned. or referenced. Have you seen it? It's GOLD!
>>
I've never made a thread in my life, but seriously. it's great! it's like the definition of a great Mecha anime!, with little to none of that bullshit angsty teenage bullshit. And made in the golden age with that golden art style!
>>
Yeah its really good

>>
>>13326213
Would you reccomend it?
>>
>>13326249
Definitely. Of Mecha anime, I hold it in far higher regard than Evangelion. It's a BEAST of a series.
>>
>>13326213
>talking about the inspiration for gundam seed ever
>>
>>13326255
Higher than Evangelion? For real, ill have to check it out.

Because you've never been on /m/ before.
>>
>>13326292
That is true, I am rather new.. I meant on all other communities I have seen/ been a part of. I apparently rather stupidly assumed it was the same here.

well time to get out newfag
>>

Alright alright cool down.
>>
>>13326264
>>13326255
Evangelion deserves to be forgotten or despised though.

It's really, really bad. So topping it is really no exploit.
>>
>>13326328
That may be true, but the reason I think it is so highly regarded is that it was what got many people watching anime. It was certainly what got me into it when I was younger. It's like a really shitty gateway drug.

Eh, Bradleys are garbage. What are the odds that they were shooting past the thing to begin with? I know for certain that targets such as giant robots are harder to hit than easier targets like wedding parades and hospitals.

i guess you've actually never been on /m/ before because all it is for the past forever is fucking gundamfags and kaiju

I thought it started boring and ended boring but had a good chunk in the middle that hooked me. It is very unique and an original vision but in practice its main gimmick is that it spends too much time showing the military-industrial-political wheeling and dealing to the extent that its main characters remain pretty flat and the actual mecha action scenes, while well-animated, are often pretty short and rely an awful lot on using the same shots of people looking at computer screens and shouting what is happening instead of getting the action across with fight choreography.
It still has a lot of the same charm that Dougram and Votoms had in certain areas, and like I said, the middle of the series was a good ride. It's overall worth watching but it's my least favorite of the three Takahashi shows I've seen. Probably mostly a taste thing.

The noh-demonology bits where good.
The international politics stuff was good.
So all together almost half of it was good. Not brilliant, but good.

And then there was the military mechs bit, which was boring as hell. And that was at least half the show. Overall, a tired mehhh...

Nice OST though.
>>
It's such a boring series early on. It always feels like a chore to watch.
>>
>Tfw stealth-creating shit tons of references to Gasaraki or threads about it in order to get other people talking about it

I liked it for tacticool asthetics and grain geo-politics.

Great show, certainly not Takahashi's best work but still excellent. I just wish it was a few episodes longer so a few things could get fleshed out a bit more. Also need some more action sequences, especially when they were in the middle east.
>>
>>13328256
That's already missing because of American orphan-seeking warheads? The whole dodge is just cosmetics, they were all aiming at a puppy 2km downrange from the robot.
>>
>>13327210

What? I object to being criticized as a "funposter" for being overtly and directly hateful towards American militaria. It's just honest and open common sense for someone living outside her borders.
>>
>it's GOLD
Maybe too much gold at the end there.
Still an incredible show everyone should watch.
>>
>>13328638

Are those the show's equivalent of MSV for the TAs?
>>

I don't think so, they look "out of character", if you get what I'm trying to say.

I don't. What do you mean "out of character?"

I'm pretty sure they are just fan made kits, or done by some hobby magazine.

Have you ever seen TAs doing stupid shit like carrying blades in the show? I didn't. They probably can perfectly use human sized ATGMs/SAMs too, instead of using that gear that looks even bigger than a TOW.
>>
It would've been funny to see Kugai fucking around during WW2.

Its fucking shit.
The ending was rushed , It was a nonsense ripoff of eva and the series never gits gud.
I dont understand how you can like it.
The animation and the mechanical designs were pretty good thought.

I really, really like the show.
It's fucking wonderful.
On one condition: episode 25 doesn't exist. Holy shit. That was so awful on so many ways.
It makes the endings to A.Z and VVV look like masterpieces.

This is one of the few shows where the protagonists are the bad guys, or at least work for them, and their goals are even understandable. And mister muh ideals knows that and doesn't go through his plan because he realizes it's petty as fuck.

Also from Takahashi, Flag. You'll realize why during the show if you're following the current happenings in the middle east and completely get it after you finish it and put together the pieces.

Without American militaria, our counties would be having a lot bigger problems. Assuming you are from yurop.

Because of either increased military spending needs during all these economic crises, or by having the same weak armies with Putin knocking at the door of the west.

No one likes to admit the world needs America. But the way they work is what affords us the position to look down at them in the first place.
