That seems impractical as shit, and you can't even flip it around like a proper butterfly knife.
On the other hand I do like the idea of having two buttefly knives strapped to my legs. So design rejected, but go back to the drawing board and we may field your robot yet Mr Anonymous.

Plus they shoved far more than 50 episodes worth of suits into 26 episodes.
