Striker Shield, hands down.
Silver Bullet's shield is pretty sweet too, I think.

I like the gouf custom shield a lot, though i don't like how the model makes the gatling stick out too far.
The one in the actual OVA was better but I understand the limitations of hard plastic.

Seed Destiny may have sucked but their shields were pretty good too.
BLitz had a cool shield, but having all its weapons on the inside of the shield is kinda a flaw.

My *least* favorite shield has to be the deployable ones from the wing universe, because it meant that even grunt-versus-grunt battles were one-sided plotarmor stomps unless the shielded dolls just forgot to deploy them at all.

Yes but it had to expose itself to fire and the off-hand was busy doing a whole lot of nothing most of the time, hell even its beamsword was usually used as a bayonet for the shield-gun.
We all know what the biggest shields in the average gundam show were however.
Nothing was quite as much of a bullet/beam sponge as these things.

i really like G-self shield
it's like souped up version of Strike's or any typical gundam red shield
it also has many abilities like absorb beam and vulcan guns and shoot mnovsky particles to jam opponent up

Though seriously, for something that cobbled together that's actually a pretty good idea. Granted shields in UC vary from tissue paper to gundarium stronk depending on who's piloting and how interesting they want the fight to be.

Like I said Seed Destiny may have sucked but these shields (And the rest of the suit when they didn't draw it super lazy) were bretty gud.
I don't really like round shields looks wise but the Gyan shield is pretty solid ability wise.

Though the Zeta's is really unappealing to me for some reason.

It's a shield, a powerful beam cannon, AND it adds a few thrusters/verniers. Where does it go wrong? Absolutely nowhere. Best shield in gundam is right. I was really upset how it got very little screen time in X.

I mean the Double X, not the X/XDivider. Garrod is given the divider shield for a bit while fighting against the Rasveyt. IIRC, he even uses the boosters.

Gyan Custom has my favorite shield from the Gyan family. Has more of a star shape, but retains that buckler style in the center.
Best defence is attack.
