ITT: Your favorite SW Imperial Vessel.
Assertor-Class SD for me
>>12462087
Well it did fly under an empire...
>>12462097
Giant ass ships. /m/
Still don't know the extent of new First Order SD models, though wasn't there some concept art floating around with one that had an Eclipse-like keel?
>>12462129
I was thinking that maybe the added bottom bridge could be or expanded fighter/trooper capacity? Perhaps as another layer of gun batteries?
>>12462137
Hm, though come to think of it, we've never seen a hanger like this on a SD before (at least as far as the movies go). It's more reminiscent of the Death Star configuration, so maybe the two-deck split allows more horizontal hanger bays.
>>12462129
>multiple decks
It's a visual analogy to the IJN carrier Akagi's triple flight decks.
>>12462148
Two-deck splits were on some British carrier designs, the HMS Glorious and Furious.
>>12462465
Is it wrong that I personally like that ship?
Accept no substitutes
Though Venators are okay too.
muh S-Foils
>>12462523
Yes. The refit they did that made it conventional made the ship look loads better than that 3 decked monstrosity
The big gray triangle.
>>12462859
NANTO?!
Anyone know if we're ever getting that 1/1700 Star Destroyer kit?
>>12462881
ISD Kancolle....yus.
Classic is the best.
>>12462087
Apparently, you can land a at least 15 million ton, 19km ship in the sand without too much structural damage in the galaxy far far away.
>>12464530
>>12464535
People should salvage the shit out of it. With a little bit of repairs she should be up and running again.
>>12464530
So is that an upside-down executor class? Seems not in right scale compared to the falcon.
>>12462749
Agreed.
>>12465775
It probably already was salvaged given that those fighters are clearly going to fly through most of it.
the one buried in the sand in the new trailer is an Imperial-II class Star Destroyer which is 1600 meters, so yeah it can land on the surface of the planet.
>>12464530
What if this is actually a chunk of the Executor, and this desert world is Endor after the pieces of the Death Star fell?
possibly but the power of the explosion would have reduced the Executor to the tiniest possible pieces, i dont think there would have been anything that size left over, the endor thing is a cool idea, poor Wicket
>>12462465
>>12462523
>>12462749It's never the wrong time for a bad pun.
>>12465780
Yep, it sure is a Super Star Destroyer.
Looks like there was quite the battle over Tatooine there and the one Imperial wasn't the only one to crash land.
>>12462149
Hey, Beargguy like ghost ship too! I will not steal your fish, cool anon.
>>12466131
well that explains why the engines are left mostly intact. literally about 11 miles of crumplezone + failing repulsorlifts and crap, im sure
Vader's Executor-class shitkicker of ship will always be the best one.
The only way those Rebel Scum were able to trash it was because one shitty A-Wing pilot got lucky.
>>12466191
>implying the Force didn't make that pilot commit suicide
>implying the dark side of the force didn't deal a blow to itself as it always does
It can get almost any job done.
I was always a sucker for the Eclipse, despite its ludicrously massive size its 99.9% deep-space engines and the sub-deathstar cannon.
Also the huge curved prow is so intimidating, looks like an ancient greek ship.
>>12466245
Yeah the Eclipse is one of the few gigantic EU craft that make sense considering how much of the death star was devoted to just the laser and its gravity well.
>>12462465
Why is she so perfect?
>>12466131
Jakku. You mean Jakku.
>>12466245
>>12466149
The Sovereign class was supposed to be staffed by clones grown onboard, supplied by a group of world devastators, and used to expand the Empire's reach to new galaxies. It was never supposed to be an ordinary part of the Imperial fleet.
>>12466218
A very solid craft even if it is just an Imperial Y-Wing stats wise unless you go with the Saga-edition game rules that gave them 40 conc missiles like a diet missile boad (I was boggled by FFG making them WORSE than Y-wings in every way)
>>12462087
>>12462465
When did he ever reference that?
Regular Star Destroyers are great, just make more of them.
>>12464530
And this is why I have hope for the new movies. Nothing says awesome like the used future look. Broken down, old and proof the future will be just like today...worn out.
>>12466877
Why does it seem like most of these are fan created.
>>12469469
Because most of them are.
>>12465780
Yeah, the Falcon would be roughly that size compared to a regular ISD's engines, an SSD's should be at least 3 times larger in diameter.
>>12467540
Ever since I was young I always liked this shuttle a lot.
Yes, I love that unarmed slow shuttle. I made Lego model of it
Also Tie Fighter and Tie Bomber, they rock.
>>12470232
>Unarmed,
>Six forward barrels two rear.
My oh my, what a lovely collection of starships you have...
I dont know what's up with these designs. They claim to be from a futuristing setting but its clear that their starships suffer from "ancient" warship design flaws.
>>12470458
>claim to be from a futuristing
>long time ago
anon confirmed for illiterate
