The scenes that are actually animated are reminiscent of Obari's animation. Mostly pulling off a few cool poses and a lot of incoherent shots. It's pretty clear the animation is a big satirization of cheap anime productions with short bouts of "good" animation.

Inferno Cop reminded me of one of those Adult Swim short series that I can't stand like Perfect Hair Forever or anything Aqua Teen after season 3 or so.
If you like it, that's fine, but I personally just find it boring and unfunny.

What's the point of making it awful? Ninja Slayer was supposed to be SUPER SERIOUS to the point that it parodies itself, like 90's American /co/ material. Now it's just an animeme.
I think Trigger might be relying on ironic bad animation too much. It was fine in Inferno Cop because the whole thing was like that and they were just YouTube shorts, but here it doesn't mesh well with the parts that actually look normal.
