Mazinger has been dead since the 70s. Go Nagai never cared about it, it was just one of his most successful franchises. He likes Enma, Devilman and Guerilla High much more.
Shin Mazinger Zero is the closest thing to turning Mazinger into a continuity like Ishikawa did with Getter Robo and Nagai isn't even involved with it.

Nice thing about these threads, is that the avid fans of each series usually have hard to find odds 'n ends that are usually hard to find and sometimes quite helpful

The best (and easiest to execute currently) is to get SRC Shin Getter and Mazinkaiser, then put them alongside RD Hi-Nu or 1/144 HGUC Hi-Nu. They stand around 6~7 inches tall.

Be wary; SRC Shin Getter goes for some serious rape prices on the aftermarket, and some of his joints are pretty wonky. Otherwise he's great, and Mazinkaiser has no real flaw aside from his hand cuffs.

Yo guys, I'm want to get into Getter Robo but not sure where to start. I've heard the Getter Robo Go manga is really good, as is Getter Robo Armageddon. What should I start with? Is there a chart or something you guys have to fill me in, looking on wikipedia about info on the series and what to watch first is confusing since it's been rebooted a few times.

I've only just finished ch1 of the manga earlier today, but what I do know is that you should read them in order, so start with the first one. The books are direct continuations of each other aside from some spinoff stuff.
As for OVAs, you can start in any order, though I've heard you may wanna consider reading all of the manga before New Getter. I dropped at episode 1 for Shin Getter vs. Neo Getter, which is a fine entry into the franchise, though knowing about the importance of Getter rays helps.
There's also some anime you could look into, though I'm not sure how the subs are and Go is only vaguely related to the rest of the franchise.
I hope I could be of help, sorry for the blog stuff.
