It's like Mao is the protagonist of an otome game.

Wow. That's classic Sousuke, not at all understanding the meaning of the words that are coming out of his mouth.
>>
By the way, guys, if you've seen all the animated series but haven't read Sigma, you're doing yourself a disservice. Sigma is better than both series AND it's completed.

All 90 chapters. Get to it /m/en!
>>
>>12270683
Alright, so where do you get it at? I have no idea, because I've never read manga.
>>
>>12270697
Just use Batoto since it's free and if you're too stupid to use adblock, not nearly as bad as other. Also no watermarks on most releases.
>>
>>12270853
>>12270697
Yep, Batoto. Best in just about every way. But you've never read manga?
No Knights of Sidonia?
No Linebarrels of Iron?
No Break Blade?
No Getter Robo?
You've been missing out, my brother.

Enjoy Sigma, though. And I know you will. Starts off in like the middle of second raid or so.
>>
>>12270683
Already read the Light Novels, though Sigma is pretty badass still. Glad to hear it actually got finished.
>>

It's just something I never really got into. Monochrome stuff on a monitor starts hurting my eyes after a few minutes, too. But if it's FMP, I'll put myself through it.
>>

It's greyscale, you mongrel. Calibrate your damn monitor.
>>
>>12270683
I've actually been reading Sigma recently (as in the literal past couple of days). I don't even remember why I never got around to it until now, considering TSR was one of my favorite series. And goddamn, it's fucking good.

>dat Sousuke channeling Chirico during Burning One Man Force arc

I heard stories about it already but it still defied expectations.
>>
>>12270675
On the contrary. Believe it or not, he makes a joke here since Kurtz has just died on a mission and Sousuke just learned Mao and Kurtz is an item before said mission.

>>12271222
>dat Sousuke channeling Chirico during Burning One Man Force arc
>I heard stories about it already but it still defied expectations.

I can't wait how they'll adapt FMP novel stuffs for SRW Z3 Tengoku Hen. I wish some events/dialogues will be voiced especially when Tessa's swearing
>>
>>12271175
>still black & white pictures are unquestionably a better format better than moving colour pictures with sound
I appriciate both but it's clear which format has the most potential.
>>
>>12275362
By that logic, you think cartoons > books. Or video games > cartoons > comics > books.

More does not equal better.
>>
>>12271175
>>12275362
It's all about the story being told, guys.

Comics can do some incredible things that no other medium can.

The same goes for those mediums as compared to comics.
>>
>>12275625
>Comics can do some incredible things that no other medium can.
How often do you see really good, creative panel layouts in manga? Because by my count it would be almost never.
>>
>>12275659
Good thing your count doesn't mean shit.
>>
>>12275659
In manga? Not that often. I can't think of a lot of mangaka who really do creative stuff off the top of my head. I was mostly thinking of western books, which are pretty much my area of expertise. I remember what little of the King Gainer manga that was translated was pretty cool. Not Quitely, Pulido or Allred cool, but that's a really fucking high bar, after all.

>>12275669
Would you mind posting some examples of solid layout work, or at least listing some series you found impressive in that regard? I'm interested in seeing what I've been missing out on.
>>
>>12275679
The point I was making was that you tend to see more creative use of comics as a format outside of Japan. I agree that comics can be used to tell stories in unique and interesting ways and have read a lot of stuff that wouldn't work in another medium.
>>
>>12268018
Would've been much better than Kaname.
>>
>>12275724
>The point I was making was that you tend to see more creative use of comics as a format outside of Japan.
That's simply false. Japan has the largest comic market in the world and has by far the widest range of subjects and demographics within the medium. Naturally, there have been more experimental works and the general level is much higher than you see in countries with smaller markets due to the fierce competition. In addition, this large market has spawned specialized schools and other comic centric organizations that you won't find in other countries. If you can't read Japanese, you can't even sample a decent portion of their current, not to mention total, comic industry. The amount of manga that is actually translated is a microscopic amount in comparison to the number of comics titles produced in Japan. And honestly? American European comics are shit tier when it comes to panel layouts, though there are rare exceptions. But 90% of American/European comics use the same small group of extremely grid-like panel layouts. This is coming from someone who grew up on comics like Slaine, Nemesis, Groo, All of the other 200 AD stuff, early/mid/late Marvel & DC, Fantagraphics, Mirage, Usagi, Early 1900s comics, Barry Smith Conan, you name it. It's not to say that the American/Euro comic scene couldn't be as good as Japan's, but it simply isn't because the environment isn't as good.

I know I shouldn't engage in utterly stupid discussions like these, but I had to say that. I'm done. Continue with your ridiculous statements.
>>
>>12270683

full scale original quality as uploaded images, pages to see releases from the group that translated a work, can see work by author and artist. Why would you not like a site doing this?
There's an option to only view the languages you want on the front page, also I never thought I would see someone complain about multiple languages being available being a bad thing.

The search is bad of you don't know what they chose to use for some titles, so I just use other search engines if I'm having trouble with it on that end, which I know isn't a statement in favor of them.

The real thing you should be complaining about though is that they taking down releases even without receiving DMCA requests.
>>
>>12271383
do you think we'll get LN designs or Sigma designs for LN-only characters?
>>
>>12277940
>Why would you not like a site doing this?
1. Manga pages are so big for the most part scaling and cutting image quality is a non issue. I mean sure there's the occasional manga where it's a problem, but 9/10 times its just irrelevant.
2. it's still a poorly designed website.
Back on the image quality thing, I don't even bother with manga streaming(is that the right word) sites anymore unless sad panda counts , I just download what I want off madokami or scanlators sites.

Also this is about using image quality to justify using a poor website. it's more like comparing too cars one has a great engine but it's in a station wagon frame and the other is a sports car with an engine from a prius. I just readng Sigma. Pretty good so far, but the first few volumes have just been the plot of TSR.
>>
>>12283976
They are on the place of origin of the very first Whispered that has effect that make people sees something or feeling deja vu. Chidori then get possessed by the mind of that first Whispered which still remain there after all these years and wanted to go to enemy side to lead their plan to reset the world, though this soul of first Whispered believes she is Chidori herself (their memory get mixed together or something). The reason she "kills" Tessa was because she and Sousuke wanted to stop her but this possessed Chirodi believes when the world is reset to her wish, they will all live again anyway so killing them that time won't matter. In reality she just knocked Tessa unconscious but 'Chidori' and Sousuke think she really killed Tessa for a moment there.

At least that's how I remember it.

>>
>>12284601

it adapts TSR with minor changes and the rest of the LN volumes not covered by the anime.
>>
>>12284609
OK, thanks.

I just didn't want another adaptation that turned FMP into a harem show or something.
>>
>>12284606
The facility was still emitting waves that can warp anyone's mind if they come too close. Tessa getting shot was most likely a hallucination, not a reality bending moment.
>>
>>12284606
Nah, they just all got a glimpse into an alternate future.

An alternate future where FMP characters that aren't villains actually die.
>>
>>12284758
I refer you to >>12278226.
>>
>>12284606
Pretty much. Remember that at that proximity, you had the chance of seeing a possible future. Everyone assumed the whole "getting shot" event happened, because they all hallucinated the alternate future shit.

However, it appears that what actually did happens, is that Chidori knocked them out.
>>
>>12278022
I remember reading somewhere probably Gamefaqs a guy posted screenshot of Shikidouji's Twitter (illustrator of FMP novel) that he/she will be involved on SRW Z3.2.

>>12278250
>>12278327
Terada (and Sugita) implied Al and Chamber will interact a lot because they recommend to use one to support attack/defend another right? And Terada also said Gargantia route will have more water stage, so we probably get to play Tuatha de Danaan more on Gargantia route.

tfw Terada troll us again, Danaan and Shin Getter-3 are on other route

>>12284413
That will be his Ace Bonus. Unfortunately you only get to use the Duke for one stage, rest of the game Tessa's the main pilot for Danaan.

It does have the advantage of not being primarily just text though.

>>12285146

Well, they just suggested to use Chamber and Laevatein/Arbalest to support one another on radio show (so we can hear special dialogue). So I just think both will have many interactions there.

>>
>>12285228
Anime is usually used to promote the original material (light novel or manga) and FMP light novel already ended years ago.

But on the other hand, I think at the very least FMP is still popular there on Japan. I mean the Another spin-off sequel light novel (and later it gets manga adaptation) is still running. And the Robot Damashii action figure line was running for some good times, they even release some units from Another spin-off sequel I mentioned.

Maybe if there will be more demand for anime FMP conclusion after Z3.2, as unlikely as it sounds, the chance for new FMP anime can be higher.

>>12285252
Would be great if on Gargantia finale, after Chamber released the pilot pod by itself, Laevatein protected Chamber out of no-homo botmance with Lambda Driver. So it can also justify Chamber's still being playable after Gargantia finale stage.
