I just evolved an R card by having only one at max level. So you only need two identical cards at most. No idea if the stats are the same however, could be max level evolving the cards affect the stats like in Valkyrie Crusade.

There's a button during the "choose a friend invite method" page which has the requirements for getting invite rewards. Looks like the invited person has to play for a length of time for the invite to be valid. Could be wrong though.
You can probably send an invite to a fake e-mail account, open the link from your phone, then register a new mobage account under that e-mail and get the reward that way. Haven't tested it yet though, I'll try it once panel 9 is the final panel.

ixtl just addressed the evolution dilemma, in gacha of all places. If you merge two maxed out cards, you get +5% increase. If you merge two evolved maxed out cards, you get +10% (not sure if it's on top of clear cut).
