Hey /m/. I'm going to buy and scan the missing Viz issues of Area 88. I wanted to know if
1) Anyone is even interested?
2) Anyone would be interested in cleaning them to at least be presentable?
3) Any editors interested in transplanting the Viz scripts onto the wideban volumes, which I would scan? Because the Viz releases are pretty shoddy, anyway.

I also bought v1 of Red Prowling Devil to scan. I've never read it, but it seems like an Area 88 knockoff, which I'm okay with.

How far did Viz get in their translation? What would OP do once he ran out of translated volumes?

Viz covered maybe 6 volumes (a little over 2 oft he wideban reprint), leaving 8 wideban volumes left.

600+ DPI, Canon 9000F, debinding won't be a problem and I scan shit all the time. Leave an email and I'll get back to you. The issues should be here on Tuesday or so.

Does anyone know if Viz's translation was even okay? They did it way back in the shitty era where they printed everything left to right.

While I would think the general dialogue would be mostly fine, I would be wary of their terminology translations.
Has anyone scanlated the volumes Viz didn't do? I went looking a while back but couldn't find anything.

There's not a lot of insane terminology in it. I have all of the tanko, and I made it through OK.
Of course, my J-go is sorely lacking these days...
