I love this design but the hands seem kind of superfluous.
Also, the aesthetic of the head clashes with the rest of it, imo.
But it still looks pretty good.
>>
>>12109250
It just looks so wrong. Like, they wanted to do a Guntank based off modern armor, but then they left that ancient head and for some reason decided to give it split treads when it's not a transforming Guntank at all. And I question all the recoil it's going to face.

What the actual fuck.
>>

Looks like it'd have trouble holding anything with those giant wrist gauntlet things.
>>
>>12109250
It looks good other than the ugly head and arms.

The guntanks are used by Feddie thieves that roams around the desert.
Sean, an ex-zeon pilot, uses this Gouf to deal with those trashes.

That is completely retarded Zeon fanwank bullshit.

Which means it will get animated soon.

Brother!
>>
>>12109250
So um...? How does it shoot behind itself? It looks like the arm would collide with the unnecessarily tall rear armor if the torso pivoted
>>
>>12109584
It doesn't, just like all the other Guntanks.
>>
>>12109597
why does stripping the off the ability to strafe seem like a really bad design choice on something that is essentially a glorified conventional tank
>>
>>12109615
Because unlike MBTs, Guntanks are designed as second line fire support or third line self-propelled artillery. They don't have the land mobility to be fast threats like MBTs fighting conventional forces.

Real life MBTs don't strafe fire either - doctrine says stop and shoot for best accuracy, although real battle sometimes necessitates firing on the move. Go watch some tank biathlons, and you'll see that firing accuracy on the move is awful. Sometimes they'll even miss static targets while holding still.
>>
>>12109680
why would a stationary tank have difficulty hitting a stationary target? Aiming difficulty or wildly inconsistent variances in projectile flight behaviors?
>>
>>12109389
does this doug faster?
>>
>>12109680
But that makes no sense. Tanks aren't going to be forming firing lines in the midst of battle, they'll be driving around trying to disrupt target locks and shit.
>>
>>12109781
53 Easting. Literally, modern tank warfare is driving into firing lines, parking your ass down, and shooting at the enemy while hoping your own armor holds out.
>>
>>12109781
I'm not saying they form 18th century firing lines, I'm saying they stop, shoot, and scoot.

Whether they drive around freely at high speed depends on the terrain and mission, of course. Tanks aren't always fighting other tanks.

Ignore the dramatic storytelling, but focus on the way the tanks are fighting. Also, this:

>The desert offers excellent fields of fire. Tanks should be sited to take advantage of their long range and accuracy. Firing first and accurately are the most important considerations in desert operations.
While it's specifically talking about the desert, this pretty much also applies to any other similar terrain (wide open spaces, etc). Tanks being deployed as "sited" usually means hidden and/or protected in a defensive position, ready to fire on any enemies that have been spotted. They're like snipers, and they generally function best in that way.
