It's a clever bit of coding, because you never get God Getter.
How it works is that attack is on Shin 1 (unlocked when you do the SvN finale), then every time you use it, the map and battle sprite change to God Getter, the attack is used, and then you change back.

The shows were shit, but Solar Getter and Solar Getter EVOL had nice designs.

I think the one that appeared in the Getter Go manga was also a shapeshifter and didn't need to open-get.
There are two different Kabaya candy toy sets that have this gimmick. Both need stickers or paint though, unlike their Duel Knights stuff. They each have a recolor in the same wave too.

Tri-Zenon is one of those lost /m/ shows that really needs to get decent subs. I can't abide crabsticks. And there looks to be some keen mecha action... Just gotta deal with the wack character designs.
I wouldn't call it Getterlike at all though. Three craft combining isn't enough of the getter formula. It's that the three craft combine in three different ways that is so distinctive.
