I am unfamiliar with this series but that chainsaw bayonet intrigues and arouses me.

Absolutely love them and I like that they are doing some more exotic designs these days like Wilber Nine, Dulger and Magatsuki.

It's a line of original design model kits based around a standardized frame with no source material. They are all also fully compatible with all of kotos Modeling support goods weapons.

They need a tiny bit more work than gunpla, but not much more.
>>
>>11165280
I remember hearing that they had problems staying together, and tended to fall apart a lot. Any truth to that?
>>
>>11165287
Nothing a little basic joint tightening and maybe a little glue doesn't fix.
>>
>>11165287
Kotobukiya kit in general have that problem. Their kit design (the model kit not the mech) just isn't as good as Bandai.
>>
>>11165231
I've got one of those frames to work with all my HG spare parts.
This is going to be some weird Zaku/Hazel/Tallgeese/Leopard abomination
>>
>>11165287
Some parts of the inner frame like the hips have the tendency to come apart when moving them too much but it's nothing a little bit of glue or plastic cement can't fix.
>>
Good I use a Frame Arms kit to make my own custom Gunpla?

If not, why hasn't Bandai got on the wagon with this.
>>
>>11165314

Actually let me rephrase is it EASY to use a Frame Arms frame to build my own Gunpla?

What scale are the frames normally and what's their articulation?
>>
>>11165327
As far as I know they are not in scale but look better next to 1/100 stuff. I've got a few parts in 1/144 and they look fucking huge.
>>
wow these are cool. Going to pick some up

Thanks for the heads up OP

If you can use glue and paint you're not going to have any problems.

Also, MSG weapons.

A friend and me just placed an order for one. I ordered the Baselard while my friend got the Twinzooka cape custom.

I'm wondering if getting the Extend Arms is worth it for the Baselard? Its basically either extra paneling or twin shields.

Note that that's just an inventive clamp for a pair of bazookas. They seem to have a thing for letting you mount the supplied weapons in different ways (one handed, dual wielding, shoulder mounted) with the base kit. Some of them have variant armour and heads too.

>>

No series. They're all original designs created just for the line of model kits.

Frame arms is a toy line without a show.
>>
>>11176036
It also has a manga.

>>11176038

>>
>>11176038
Forgot about the manga, not sure if it ever got translated but I'm pretty sure it didn't.

>>11176043
They're all roughly 15cm tall & 1/100 scale (so supposed to be 15m tall.)

If you can read Moonrunes, they've got story / mecha info on the Japanese site.

or this.
>>
>>11176101
>>11176106

Due to the numerous hardpoints and relative scale that fit inbetween large 1/144 Gunpla & Small 1/100 Gunpla; the basic Frame 001 makes a great base for custom mecha Gunpla.

They can also fit well with some parts from 1/72nd scale stuff like the Valkyrie's or Armored Core's various mecha.
>>
>>11176011
No I remember seeing this waaaaay back in 2007 or something. It was the modeler's take on a mass-production Exia. Ya know, like the GM was to the Gundam and Strike Dagger to the Strike Gundam etc.

I remember it had an axe or something.
>>
>>11176481

So it was the Axia?

>>11176106
Roger Smith is calling, he wants his mecha back. D:

Damn. Though in retrospect, it looks like an early version of Armored Core V's mechanical designs.
>>
>>11175995
So, no plastic rungs, or paint, or panel lines?
>>
>>11176011
>Exia

That's an astrea.
>>
>>11177276
You can paint and panel line them I'd imagine. Also the parts do come on runners.
>>
>>11177276

You haven't bought a Robo Damashi yet? Those have all of those.

I meant "doll" in the sense that you're getting a base body you're supposed to dress up in a variety of pretty clothes they offer for sale.
>>
Do the kits like the Baselard come with a base skeleton included?
>>
>>11180853
They all come with one.
>>
>>11180853
Yes. They all come with the base Frame Architect Type 001.
Some will include modified frame parts to better fit their design, but that basic Frame is included with all of them in it's pre-built form.

Off the shelf you can buy a Frame Architect Type 001 in either the standard (pre-built) or modeller's (on runners) form.
The latter is the better version as Koto's factory works only do a half-decent job at cleaning up the frame before assembly.
>>
>>11180866
>>11180879
OK, thank you!
>>
>>11180879
It also seems that them being pre-built is the reason for coming apart.
The Border Break and Break Blade kits share the same frame, albeit on runners, and they don't really have those issues.
>>
>>11180899
I think it depends much on when the kit was made as well. The newer Frame Arms kits seem to have less trouble than the first 4 or so did.

Many of the issues with them falling apart can be fixed by any decent modeller though. Just have some plastic cement & clear acrylic handy to tighten joints & secure parts.
