The program I use is handbreak and makemkv for transformer files. Use makemkv to rip that feature from the dvd. The file might be a bit bloated and if you don't mind the quality decrease handbreak can make the file size smaller. But you might not need that for what your doing.

I have it, and the quality varies from film to film. I don't mean the video and audio quality, that's consistently fantastic.
I mean that in some of the movies the subs are mistimed. And in Final Wars Gordon is dubbed over (I suppose so that the Japanese can tell what he's saying)
The actual translation of the subs is fine. It's the only subtitles I've seen where King Shiisa's name is correct and isn't written as Caesar.

I agree. Max deserves way better treatment than this. Some other group should just finish the remaining episodes of Max and the final episode of Ultra Galaxy Mega Monster Battle. That's a grand total of eight episodes to complete 2 series, so I'm shocked noone else has stepped in to to finish it. I'm a timer in a fansub group, so I'll ask my groupmates if they'd be interested in finishing Max and the finale of Galaxy if the anon on here has problems scrubbing it. If they are, we'll make an announcement about it, because people have waited long enough for these shows to be finished.

Deadfish subbed at least the first episode eons ago, and he might have subbed the second episode as well, but good luck finding them, as they haven't been seen in a few years. Japasubs has Portuguese subtitles for episodes 1 and 2 which I'm guessing were translated from the Deadfish English translations, so someone could translate them back into English if they wanted to.

The thing with Zaborga is, the DVD's are supposed to look like shit because they just used the LD masters and didn't do anything to improve their quality, so nobody is willing to buy the discs and rip them, so there aren't any raws. Those clips of the series in the end credits of the movie look way better than the DVD/LD's because they actually cleaned them up a little. That said, I have episodes 1-4, so if I could find a tl, I'd be willing to at least time those 4 episodes, as the slow-motion fight scenes need to be seen by the world.

Once in a while, Ultraseven would use the Eyeslugger and bisect his opponent or decapitate them, which is pretty awesome for a sixties toku show. I think once he also chopped off a monster's tail and then started beating him with his own tail. Fuck Ultraman Nice, we want Ultraman Nasty.

Fair enough, but I sincerely hope you end up buying the set, because it's one of the few legit releases we've ever gotten here in the US, and it's not particularly expensive either. And before anybody chimes in with "Chaiyo had no right to license it to Shout!", I say buy the set, and let the Japanese courts sort that shit out. If they do eventually rule in favor of Tsubaraya, they will be awarded damages for whatever lost profits Chaiyo made from licensing their properties to Shout Factory, so using that as a reason to not pay for the set is just bullshit.
