Are there any good anthologies on philosophy?
I don't want to read the tomes of dozens of philosophers. I can read a couple if they particularly interest me. But there are too many to study them all; I have other things going on in life. I would however enjoy reading lets say 100 pages on a particular philosopher, his life, his philosophy, and important quotes. Maybe there's a larger collection with something like what I'm talking about?
Think by Simon Blackburn is a good intro.
Nothing beats reading them though, even he admits that. You don't get the whole point across.

Reading a summary of Plato? That's insane. Socrates second speech in Phaedrus is one of the most beautiful passages in all literature. You can't summarize the moment the lover looks into the beloved's eyes and remembers the idea of beauty--instantly transformed (sublimated), the lover again sprouts wings...it's too much.
Classics of Western Philosophy. There you go, son. Thank me.
