The problem with 48 laws of power is more that it doesn't take into account the limited scope of the facts and ideas it is based on.

For example laws like "hire your enemies they have more to prove" and "utterly crush your enemies so they don't rise up again" are useful in certain situations, but together they are contradictory and confusing, certainly not universal laws.
