I found it relaxing, and there's some really deep writing in it besides just sex, there's a lot of just talking about sex which is really poetic in it too. I didn't finish the book, I only read about half way (no reason for stopping, I just stop reading books mid way sometimes), but I also believe it's an exercise in debauchery, sort of.
