I'm trying to write a poem, but I'm having a hard time. Can I get some tips please?

I'll show you an example. I'm terrible because I don't write poetry but at least tell me what you guys think.
The dome can no longer hold, the storm that continues to brew.
My head aches with the three rings of past and I wonder if it was all worth the wait.
When I see misguided beauty in her face, while I try to linger to find yours deep inside.
The well has dried up but I’ve grown too attached to the ground, I’m too deeply rooted to leave.
I hold my breath under the water, only to find out too late I’m already drowning.
How can we really know how green the pastures are?
If we stay in our stables?
How can we risk jumping off a bridge?
When we don’t even have a parachute?
You don’t.
What’s to say I don’t? Choosing to not choose.
Where am I now? Eating a pie.
I choose to be green. I choose to be free.
Let the music of life sing to me.
Let me create my own path in the middle then choose the fork in the road.

focus on your line breaks and try to make them meaningful
read your shit out loud over and over
read famous poems out loud over and over

when read aloud it sounds vaguely important even though it's just some guy struggling to say some bullshit. he lucked into a good rhythm
