Are books the best cure for loneliness?
Nothing else seems to do the job better.
Have you tried sex?
you're no longer alone when you're reading a book, so yes
I've tried many substitutes but literally nothing can truly be a surrogate for actual human companionship. A comfy novel is a close second, however.

Are you trying to avoid loneliness without engaging in companionship?
If so, these are probably your best bets:
religion
sex
drugs
sadism
a political/humanitarian cause
music/literature/art
a creative endeavour
pets
suicide

>have sex
>partner cries after
>won't tell me why
>only feeling is happiness at losing virginity
Haha love going down to bone town dude
Based Bloom:
>>“We read deeply for varied reasons, most of them familiar: that we cannot know enough people profoundly enough; that we need to know ourselves better; that we require knowledge, not just of self and others, but of the way things are. Yet the strongest, most authentic motive for deep reading…is the search for a difficult pleasure.”
