IIRC isn't this from the Great Oration chapter? He mentions that a working man supporting a family can't afford to live or save on the wages paid to them. He does, however, note that a single working man with no dependents could in theory save money from the meagre wages they are paid. However, by 'unnatural' I took to interpret more as 'not the way to do things in society' since it's right that people have kids and raise a family and it's wrong that early 20th century society doesn't allow working men to achieve that to a reasonable level.

What's the position the book takes?
I feel the only reason why I'd want to become a father is to please my mother, who wants grandchildren. I don't desire kids myself - I see no point, only it eating time and money - and, again, I feel no craving for it.
