Where does your country rank?

What could China, a country that kidnaps booksellers, possibly be publishing?

Bureaucratic manuals?

>South Korea that high
What are they publishing and why is none of it ever translated?
>>8179293
Because they have literally no idea how human beings act. Haven't you seen South Korean TV or movies?
>>8179302
Japan tho. Most degenerate people on earth.
>>8179307
The good Japanese authors are at least really good at capturing that degeneracy and all that Kafkaesque stuff.
>>8179285
half of all books published in China are math and english handbooks for students
>>8179302
I can't say I have. From what I've heard though, they seem to be deprived of any sort of unique culture whatsoever. That's why I was surprised to see them so high on the list.

It does get translated...
Dalkey Archive got a bunch of flak for publishing a lot of it a while back in their Library of Korean Literature series.
I think it would be better to measure published titles per citizen. Anyway, I don't rely on my country literary merits to feel a sense of achievement so I don't really care.
