Does it deserve to be part of the meme trilogy?
muh board culture

yes
>>8135986
Why?
>long
>dry
>praised simply on the basis of muh prose
>5% of /lit/ has read it, at best
It's a meme alright
>>8135440
the second meme trilogy:
the tunnel
the recognitions
underworld
>>8136599
Forgot 2666
>>8135440
>the Tampax book
>>8136599
Wrong: it's The Tunnel, The Recognitions, Women and Men, and 2666.
>>8136654
>Women and Men
even McElroy says this is his worst book. i wish this meme would die
>>8136663
and to you, Tampax.
>>8136665
[citation needed]
P.S: everyone who has actually read McElroy knows The Lookout Cartridge is his best.
>>8136599
>someone remembered my prototype meme trilogy
I feel warm
I wonder how William H. Gass would feel if he knew his book was being optioned for a place in /lit/'s meme trilogy.
>>8136964
>>8136665
>even McElroy says this is his worst book
Is this supposed to mean something?
>>8136964
Not a whole lot considering he's a 92 year old scrotum of a man who probably can't think much of anything anymore.
>>8136964
Well I'm sure he's paying for all this shilling, so he probably knows.
p.s. sage
A new meme trilogy is unwarranted. We are Traditionalists here.

I know I'm being meme'd but anyone got a link to a download for my phone's book app?
I read some excerpts from it earlier this week and found them pretty interesting. I ordered the book yesterday and am currently reading absolom absolom! but after I finish that next week I will either read the tunnel or JR. having trouble deciding which of those 2 to tackle first
Any time /lit/ recommends a book that isn't commonly found in a local bookstore, you can be assured that it is a meme.
